File not found error

 

The ‘ DiscoverWare Nova Microsoft Training' CD ROM is not in your CD-ROM drive (do not get this confused with the actual ‘Microsoft Office' CD - it is referring to the DiscoverWare Nova Microsoft training CD). The DiscoverWare CD-ROM needs to be in your CD-ROM drive in order for the DiscoverWare training to run.

You have chosen the wrong CD-ROM drive letter in the Nova player. Verify on your computer what letter is assigned to your CD-ROM drive and then choose that letter from the drop down menu in the Nova Player. See below.

 

 

Network Installation

Copy all the folders and files directly from the CD-ROM provided to a location on the hard drive. If you have a two CD set copy the contents of both disks to the same folder. There will be a folder for each product (for example x12ke, x12kp, etc). There will also be the following folders and files:

 

Folders:

• frames
• graphics

Files

• about.htm
• courses.htm
• coursesword.htm
• help.htm
• index.htm
• sound.dcr
• style.css

 

To run your courses open the file "index.htm" in your browser and select the appropriate course.

 

You will see Discover Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word courses for Proficient and Expert levels listed although you will only be able to play courses for which you have a corresponding folder.
